Celtic Necklaces

Celtic Necklaces

Out of all the Celtic knot jewelry there is in this country for sale, the Celtic ring is the most popular. Second to that is the Celtic knot necklace. The Celtic knot necklace is what we are going to look at in this post.

Celtic necklaces are so vast in all the Celtic knot designs that I wonder why they are not more popular. Based on the vast collection of various Celtic designs Celtic necklaces should be way more popular than Celtic knot rings. But that is my opinion and I have to defer to the facts.

But let me try and give you some examples as to why I feel so strongly about my opinion regarding the Celtic necklace.

Many of the Celtic knot necklaces have symbolism defined and many of the Celtic knot necklaces do not have defined symbolism. The reason for the confusion as to what Celtic necklace means and don't mean is because the Celts did not have a written language and the Celtic language evolved into other languages and so it leaves us uninformed on many Celtic knot necklaces.

But that does not take away the fun of Celtic knot necklaces and all the geometric shapes and designs.

This Celtic Luck knot necklace shown directly above is called a Celtic Luck Knot. The word "Luck" is engraved on the back of the pendant.

Shield of Destiny Celtic Necklace. The back of this Celtic pendant is engraved with "Shield of Destiny".

The Celtic trinity knot necklaces are also named Celtic triquetra knot necklace. The Christians noticed the three corners of this style of knot and adopted it as a trinity knot necklace that represents the Holy Trinity.

This sterling silver Celtic knot necklace is a Celtic circle with four Trinity knot symbols put inside the circle. Very nice.
